Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, disbursed a sum of One Hundred Million Naira to each of the fifteen selected secondary schools poised for a significant transformation under the World Bank assisted - Adolescent Girls Initiative Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project, in Collaboration with the state government.
This significant disbursement occurred during the official foundation-laying ceremony that marked the commencement of a crucial project—seventy-five secondary schools to be constructed under AGILE. The ceremony took place at the Koda/Dambuna secondary school in Charanci local government.
Governor Radda expressed his commitment to ensuring that all these schools are situated within a five-kilometer radius of their respective catchment communities for ease of access. This project represents the first phase of a grand plan to establish one hundred and fifty new schools across the state, emphasizing the programme's grassroots educational approach.
Governor Radda also emphasized the importance of addressing educational needs at the grassroots level and voiced his hope that the allocated funds would be used judiciously for their intended purposes.
Dr. Mustapha Shehu Kofar Sauri, the state coordinator of the AGILE project, provided insights into the school projects. He disclosed that these schools would encompass both junior and senior sections, featuring twelve classrooms, laboratories, a multipurpose hall, staff rooms, toilets, and the principal's office in the senior section. The junior section would consist of ten classrooms, toilets, and an administrative block.
Additionally the Governor disbursed sum of N100m each to fifteen fortunate secondary schools including GGSS Kabomo, GSS Kofar Kaura, GSS Tsauri, Dankama, and Government Technical Charanci, among others.

This initiative aligns with the governor's campaign promises and aims to provide talented children with access to quality education from the grassroots.
